Since 1837, Hermès has epitomized French luxury through a commitment to craftsmanship and the raw beauty of natural materials. In 2018, house perfumer Christine Nagel reimagined the iconic Terre d’Hermès legacy, originally launched in 2006, by shifting its gravitational center toward the profound depth of the forest.
What does Terre d’Hermes EAU Intense Vetiver EDP smell like?
As an Eau de Parfum, this woody aromatic composition intensifies the primal connection between man and earth. It is a more vigorous, solar exploration of the original horizon, trading mineral flint for a lush, vegetal power that feels both grounded and transcendental.
- Top Notes: A bright, crystalline burst of sun-ripened citrus—vibrant bergamot and zesty grapefruit—is ignited by the electric, tingling heat of Sichuan pepper, awakening the senses like a dawn over ancient landscapes.
- Middle Notes: At its heart lies a transformative vetiver, present from the very start but blossoming here into a complex, earthy greenness. This is supported by the minty, rosy facets of geranium, creating a core that is both rugged and refined.
- Base Notes: The dry down is a lingering embrace of the elements, where the smoky resins of olibanum meet the woody warmth of amberwood. Deep, forest-floor patchouli anchors the scent, leaving a trail of sophisticated, enduring masculinity.
